Teaching Dance Fitness Brings Joy and Extra Income
If you’ve ever found yourself in a dance fitness class grinning from ear to ear, dripping in sweat, and somehow still wanting more—then you already know the magic of movement. What you might not know is that you could be leading that class. Teaching dance fitness isn’t just about getting a workout in—it’s about sharing energy, joy, and community… all while earning extra income. I didn’t start teaching until I was 36. Before that, I was just like many of you—showing up to Zumba classes because they were so much fun. It was the highlight of my week. I loved the music, the sweat, and that feeling of forgetting I was even working out. Over time, I realized that dancing came naturally to me, and with encouragement from instructors and friends, I decided to roll with it. That decision changed everything. Not only did I find a new passion, I also discovered a whole community that lit me up from the inside out.

Teaching dance fitness—especially something as upbeat and dynamic as PlyoJam—can be incredibly rewarding, both personally and financially. You’re not just helping people get fit; you’re helping them feel good. Plus, with flexible class schedules and virtual opportunities, it’s a side hustle that can actually fit into a real-life schedule. Whether you’re already in the fitness space or you’re just a lifelong dancer or enthusiast, becoming an instructor is a smart way to blend fun with income.

What sets PlyoJam apart is that it’s not your average dance fitness class. It combines hip-hop dance with plyometric movements for a workout that’s equal parts sweaty and stylish. That means you’re not just teaching—you’re putting on a show, bringing people into your energy, and building confidence in every class. Want to see what it looks like? If you’ve been toying with the idea of becoming an instructor, consider this your nudge. You don’t need to be a professional dancer or have a fitness background—just a love for music, movement, and motivating others. I was 36 when I started, and 13 years later, I’m still teaching and loving it.
